Bio
I've dedicated this webpage to two projects I was involved with. The first one is a project about the Moken people, which is a hunter gatherer community of the sea. These ethnic people are located in the area of Mergui Archipelago in Burma and Southern Thailand. They still live in a traditional way and refuse to give in for modern life. The Moken people are a poor fishing community which collect food form the sea, and are traditionally nomads. These are poor people with few civil rights. Filmmaker Runar J. Wiig was making a documentary of these people and was very kind to invite me to participate. The documentary is called "No word for worry" and has already been awarded several prices. The other project is about the beauty of the desert. The idea was to travel around and document the beauty of the landscape in this dry and harsh environment. The pictures here are taken in the Middle East, Africa and in the far east in Asia. I hope you'll like the images I've put up here.
In 2014 I released a photojournalistic book in BW about the Moken people. It's called "The legacy of the Moken" and can be found on Amazon.com.
A photobook about the desert landscape was released in 2016. The title is "Sand. A random walk through the desert landscape" and can be found on Blurb.com.
